Aeromixer Slurry Conditioner
The Milbury Aeromixer provides total
conditioning or organic wastes and slurries enabling, effective,
easy and efficient disposal. Aeromixer conditioned waste has
an even, smooth consistency and uniform nutrient content throughout.
It is low in soluble nitrates with a reduced level of odour.
Low running costs - compressor runs for
a short time each day
Odour control - reduction of odour
during spreading of slurry
Quiet running - unique compressor
silencing
Low maintenance - no lubrication, no
corrosion, sealed electronics
Agri-food &
Biosciences Institute, Hillsborough, Northern Ireland and
Teagasc Grange Beef Research Centre, Ireland have carried
research into “Hydrogen Sulphide Gas (H2S)
Emissions from Stored Slurry which has Undergone Low Rate
Aeration” (a Milbury Aeromixer). The report is for the Health
and Safety Executive.
The trial showed
that:
-
There was minimal
H2S emitted during mixing (<5ppm).
-
There was also
minimal emission of H2S
during pumping slurry out of the store (<7ppm) therefore posing
no significant health and safety risk to stock and workers.
-
During the
mixing and pumping of non-aerated slurry the H2S
emissions were up to 257ppm. The recommended safe level is
<15ppm.
The trials also showed that:
Full report is
available upon request.
MILBURY NOTES:
The results
clearly show that if your own Aeromixed slurry was analysed you
could confidently spread knowing that from first to last, the
slurry is consistent. The full nutrient potential can therefore
be relied upon, allowing economies on purchased fertiliser. It
also demonstrated the importance of using the Aeromixer daily as
designed.
