We are committed to strategically managing our sustainable construction responsibilities. To achieve this, we have developed a sustainability policy covering all internal and external activities throughout our Milbury Systems operations. As a minimum, we will:
Sustainable Manufacturing
Economic: - All of our concrete products are manufactured within our factory environments and are classified as MMC solutions. We are continuously improving our manufacturing process efficiencies and minimising our internal waste streams.
Social: - We are committed to setting and improving upon high standards of health and safety for all of our employees and stakeholders.
Environmental Resources: - We employ the latest design and detailing techniques which ensures that our products / solutions meet our clients / specifiers sustainability needs. Our manufacturing process ensures exact tolerances are achieved and allows a “fits first time” ethos.
Environmental Protection: - We segregate any waste material generated and dispose of this in a professional compliant manner. We will also clean our dirty process water and reuse where possible.
Sustainable Products
Economic: - We offer a wide choice of high quality construction solutions. We actively communicate with our clients / specifiers throughout the design stage, which results in the best economic solution. We don’t just offer a product range but strive to offer economic, sustainable solutions.
Social: - All of our products and solutions are making a significant contribution to the built environment. Our products are used primarily in waste recycling industry, agricultural construction, and a diverse range of other precast solutions.
Environmental Resources: - All of our products / solutions result in less waste generated at our clients sites. They are also durable and last for generations. We will proactively seek to procure raw materials from sustainable sources rather than those that may be more detrimental to the whole environment.
Environmental Energy: - Our construction products have a high thermal mass and contribute towards low energy buildings.
