Blast & Fire Walls
Milbury Systems produce panels that are ideal for both fire and blast walling.
Key Features and Benefits:
Fire and blast walling is designed to contain fire from 30 minutes up to 4 hours depending on the customers specified requirements. With the option of either Vertical Cantilever Panels or Horizontal Panels and Columns Milbury Systems can produce panels to suit most jobs of this type.
Vertical Cantilever panels can be made to any heights up to a maximum of 7m and with the tongue and groove edges they are easy to align making installation easier. The panels are designed to be cast in to a foundation and Milbury Systems can supply cradles to assist with this method of installation.
Horizontal Panels and Columns is an alternative method and most frequently used for Fire and Blast walls upto 10m high, and are equally effective as the VC’s. These panels are installed using specially produced concrete columns with the panels slotting between the webs of the column and sitting on top of each other securely thanks to their tongue and groove edges. Columns are embedded into the ground via preformed pockets which are then grouted in to position with high strength grout.
The benefit of this system is that it negates the need for a full length trench to be excavated and concreted, instead favouring easily formable localised pockets at specific centres.
| Panel Thickness | Fire Rating |
