DESCRIPTION

Milbury was asked to supply horizontally spanning retaining wall panels with a clad to create a Dockside Fertiliser/Animal Feed Storage Facility. The steel portal frame building is some 70m by 110m. The unit is built on to an existing building and demanded close cooperation between Milbury’s installation team and the main contractor to establish pile cap levels and junction details with the existing and new builds.

The specialist nature of this building demanded from Milbury’s design department special attention to detail and clever innovation to overcome moisture penetration between the panel joints. The client specified removable red fire escape door panels, the paint to be a RAL system colour and to have specific durability and non contamination properties.

Milbury successfully researched and supplied the painted doors creating an ascetically demanding product to the clients requirements.
